Riding the Roads of the Arctic – Fieldnode at the Arctic Race of Norway 2025

When you work in supply chain technology, you don’t always expect to find yourself driving in a colourful convoy of cars through some of the most spectacular landscapes Northern Norway has to offer. But that’s exactly what happened this August, when Fieldnode joined the official Arctic Race of Norway caravan together with Equinor, Sopra Steria, Aker Solutions and AM North.

The Arctic Race is more than a cycling event – it’s a celebration of endurance, teamwork, and the power of reaching the finish line together. Those values resonate deeply with us at Fieldnode. In our world, the “finish line” might be delivering a critical spare part in record time, enabling a customer to avoid costly downtime, or proving that digital inventory and on-demand manufacturing can transform how industries think about their supply chains.

From the road to the stage

Alongside the caravan experience, our CEO Christian Duun Norberg joined Equinor on stage at the supplier seminar in Harstad. In a symbolic gesture, each participating company was invited to share a short story before taking a shot at a football goal on stage. The message was simple:
It’s not about how many chances you get – it’s about making the shot that counts.

That’s exactly what we aim to do with our customers and partners – deliver real, tangible results that make a difference.

Connecting the dots: sport, technology and teamwork

Just as a professional cycling team relies on the combined effort of riders, coaches, and support cars, on-demand manufacturing depends on a strong ecosystem. In our case, that means OEMs, manufacturers, and end-users working together on a secure, standardised platform to deliver parts when and where they’re needed.

The Arctic Race reminded us that success comes from preparation, collaboration, and trust – whether you’re climbing a mountain pass on a bike or building a resilient supply chain.

A thank you – and a look ahead

We’re grateful to Equinor for inviting us to be part of this unique event, and to everyone along the route who cheered us on. It was an unforgettable way to celebrate collaboration – and a reminder that even in a digital age, relationships and shared experiences are what keep momentum going.

As we head into the next chapter, we’re taking the spirit of the Arctic Race with us: focused on the goal, committed to the team, and ready for the next challenge.
